This Rwandan knife and its different variations are tools and weapons at the same time and are largely used by women to knock down fruit from trees. They can also be found in eastern D.R. Congo, Uganda, Burundi, and Tanzania (Elsen, Fatal Beauty [orange edition], 2009; Fischer & Zirngibl, Afrikanische Waffen, 1978).
