This is an extremely obscure long sword originating from the eastern Nigeria / northern Cameroon border region. It was described and illustrated in Die materielle Kultur der nicht islamischen Ethnien von Nordkamerun und Nordostnigeria (Wente-Lukas, 1977): "Sword of the Ndjeny where the grip and crossguard are made of wood and covered with lizard skin. Distinguished by their iron pommel decorated with double spirals. Identical swords are documented among the Daba."
