Throwing Blade
Masalit, Sudan
Iron, vegetal fiber
Early 20th century
Masalit blades are very similar to Teda blades, but they observe a much more rigid aesthetic, whereas Teda blades are much more flowing and zoomorphic. The very vertical stem and prim handle are characteristics of Masalit blades. This is a rare left-handed example to boot.
